Quando 2 band non bastano, si fa pure un disco solista. Chad Smith, noto batterista attivo nei Red Hot Chili Peppers e nel supergruppo Chickenfoot, produrrà un disco solista intitolato “Chad Smith’s bombastic Meatbats: meet the Meatbats” entro il 15 settembre 2009. Lo stesso batterista si è così espresso:
“Nell’album ci saranno tutte le mie influenze o meglio quelle che mi ha passato mio fratello maggiore: i grandi batteristi delle band inglesi tra gli anni Sessanta e Settanta come John Bonham dei Led Zeppelin’, Ginger Baker dei Cream e Ian Paice dei Deep Purple”.
