Anathema: il Nuovo Album ad Aprile 2012



In una recente intervista Danny Cavanagh degli Anathema ha parlato del nuovo album in lavorazione rilasciando quanto segue:
” Attualmente siamo in studio per registrare il nuovo album, che molto probabilmente vedrà la luce in aprile.
Stiamo registrando 14 canzoni che potrebbero essere tutte inserite nel disco o, al massimo, ne verranno scartate un paio.”

    It took me a long time to get to the point where I wasn’t expecting aynthing from my meditation. I wanted something to, well yanno, happen from doing it. One day a few weeks after I started, I realized I could not account for 2 hours of my time ( i always log the time before I meditate and when I finish). I know I didn’t fall asleep. I didn’t hear the cell phone ringing right next to me. So how could that be??? I had finally pushed those distractions away-just like I had been taught to do. The itch, the fly buzzing around the room, and traffic noise in the background ceased to become a distraction I had to push away in my mind. Glorious silence and I didn’t even know it. *laughing*Keep practicing. After a time, and with a few repetitions of my personal mantra, I can step away shed the distractions and see more clearly. You will get there too. And you have to give up any notion of wanting aynthing from your meditation. Just go with whatever happens. 5 minutes is all you can do. Fine. Then 5 minutes it is. There is NO right or wrong way. It’s not supposed to be this way or that way or this long or that long. It’s more important to just do it.Mindful meditation is a wonderful. Be aware of the thoughts floating by you but shoo them away gently with feather and push them off on the wind. I like the watching yourself and your thoughts aspect of mindful meditation. There is a link on my blog for Thought Management 101. You can download his book for free if you like. It’s short. It’s an easy read. The author is the one who nudged me to Deepak Chopra and PSM. (The author is also my spiritual mentor and Anam Cara so forgive me for pimping, but I do think his book would be a benefit for you). There is a short chapter with instructions for meditation. It’s the technique I still use the most. PS You have a most interesting blog. I have enjoyed my time here and look forward to reading more.
